Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to help individuals with acquired brain injuries and neurologic diagnoses regain independence through personalized treatment plans. You will initiate programs, conduct evaluations, and implement therapies, including vestibular rehab, home evaluations, and assistive-device recommendations, in a collaborative clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
• Membership in APTA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and Maintain Therapeutic Programs: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
• Conduct Evaluations: Administer initial evaluations, identify primary impairments, and use appropriate outcome measures to create effective treatment plans.
• Implement Treatment Programs: Provide therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, home evaluations with recommendations, orthotic and assistive device recommendations, and therapeutic home programs.
• Engage patients in mobility exercises, neurodevelopment sequence exercises, flexibility exercises, and extremity manipulations.
• Assist patients with brain injuries in navigating different surfaces, including hills, stairs, and uneven terrain, providing all levels of assistance as needed.
• Provide Pain Relief: Use modalities to relieve pain and improve comfort.
• Program Management: Continuously check on patient progress and update programs through interim evaluations.
• Supervise and Guide: Instruct clinic aides, supervise their work, and mentor students and staff.
• Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records and collaborate with patients, families, insurers, and other therapists.

Education
