Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Transdisciplinary Neuro Transitional Rehabilitation team. This full-time role focuses on evaluating patients with TBI, stroke, SCI and other neurological conditions, developing personalized care plans, and helping patients return home, work, school and community with targeted strategies.

The position is located at our Downtown Dallas facility on the BUMC campus.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
• Neuro rehabilitation experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies the plan of care with the transdisciplinary team
• Delivers therapy across multiple environments and adapts sessions to maximize patient outcomes
• Participates in discharge planning and home evaluations to support safe return home
• Provides patient and family education, documentation and care coordination
• Maintains accurate medical records and adheres to regulatory requirements
• Acts as an educator and role model for students and staff
