Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab seeks an Occupational Therapist on the 23rd Floor Brain Innovation Center in Chicago, IL. You will evaluate patients, plan treatments, and facilitate independence in daily living tasks while coordinating with the care team.

Requires a Master's in Occupational Therapy, current IL license, and CPR/BLS certification. The role includes patient education, documentation, and possible supervision of OT students, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and compassion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and Illinois license are required.
• Current CPR or BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Analytical ability to interpret patient data and recommend treatment solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families and health care professionals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, assesses, and plans OT treatment for patients.
• Facilitates participation in therapy and coordinates with the care team.
• Documents care activities using RICIS and forms.
• Supervises affiliated OT students and may teach in Department courses.
