Job summary

Insight Institute of Neuroscience & Neurosurgery (IINN) is seeking a knowledgeable Massage Therapist to treat patients through therapeutic touch. The role involves collaborating with chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists to create effective treatment plans and maintain detailed records.

A Michigan license and experience in medical settings are preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and an opportunity to contribute to patient wellness within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Must have an active State of Michigan License in good standing.
• Experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage.
• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
• Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.
• Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance.
• Prepare and blend oils, and apply the blends to clients' skin.
• Discuss with other health care professionals to develop treatment plans for clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients.
• Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.
