Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to guide patients recovering from neurological injuries in a neuro rehabilitation setting. The role emphasizes helping individuals rebuild independence, confidence, and meaningful daily life.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a counseling-related field.
• Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state.
• At least one year of post-master’s degree clinical experience with traumatic or acquired brain injuries.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations, sets goals with the rehabilitation team, and adjusts plans for maximal independence.
• Provides empirically based psychological interventions to patients and families.
• Designs community reintegration activities to address cognitive needs during activity.
• Educates patients on their needs and how to manage limitations in daily function.
• Reassesses progress and adjusts goals or treatment as needed.
• Communicates progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Consults with medical providers regarding evaluation, progress and discharge.
• Documents and reports changes to supervisors and treatment team.
• Maintains evaluation, treatment and billing documentation in compliance with regulations.
