Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and TBI. You will deliver therapeutic interventions, collaborate with the rehab team, and promote emotional and social adjustment within community settings.

The role requires a Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, an active LPC license, and at least 1 year of post-master’s experience with neurological conditions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field.
• Current professional license/certification as LPC in the state of practice.
• At least 1 year post-master’s experience with brain injuries or related neurological conditions.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple assignments daily.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and sets measurable goals with the rehab team.
• Provides empirically based psychological interventions for patients and families.
• Designs community reintegration activities addressing psychological and cognitive needs.
• Assists patients in understanding needs and managing function.
• Regularly reassesses treatment effectiveness and adjusts goals.
• Communicates patient progress to treatment team, physician, family, and others.
• Consults with medical providers regarding evaluation, progress, and discharge.
• Documents changes in condition and progress for regulatory and billing needs.
• Adheres to company policies, HIPAA, and professional standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
