Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation - Neuro Transitional Center in O'Fallon, MO is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in a full-time role to provide compassionate counseling and functional therapy for patients with neurological injuries, including TBI, stroke, and spinal cord injury.

This position works within a 12-bed neuro transitional center as part of a trans-disciplinary team with PT, OT, SLP and Nursing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Licensed LPC in Missouri.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with neuro rehab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments within scope.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
• Collaborate with trans-disciplinary team to set outcomes.
• Promote patient and family understanding of care.
• Lead cognitive rehabilitation activities.
• Support community integration and outings.
• Incorporate neuropsychological results into plan.
• Develop behavioral plans and educate staff.
• Document progress and adjust plans as needed.
