Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injury. You will provide therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment and collaborate with the rehab team to maximize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluations, designing and adjusting treatment plans, documenting progress, and coordinating with families and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or counseling-related field.
• Current professional license as required by the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year post-master’s clinical experience with neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations with goals set with the rehab team.
• Provides empirically based psychological interventions to support participation in community activities.
• Designs community reintegration activities addressing cognitive/psychological needs during activities.
• Re-assesses treatment effectiveness and modifies goals as needed.
• Communicates patient progress to the treatment team, family, and physicians.
• Consults with medical providers regarding evaluation, treatment, and discharge.
• Documents evaluation, treatment and billing in required formats.
