Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injury. You will provide therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment and work closely with the rehab team to maximize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a counseling-related field as required by state licensing
• Current professional license/certification as required by practice state
• Minimum of one year post-master's clinical experience with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations daily

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations with patients and families, sets measurable objectives with rehabilitation team, and adjusts treatment plan for maximum independence and function
• Provides empirically based psychological interventions to maximize participation and outcomes
• Designs community reintegration activities addressing psychological/cognitive needs during physical activity
• Assists patients in understanding their needs and limitations and how to manage them
• Regularly reassesses treatment effectiveness and progress toward goals
• Communicates patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, and family members
• Consults with medical providers regarding evaluation, progress, and discharge
• Observes/documents changes and reports to Clinical Coordinator or Program Manager
• Maintains and submits evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation per regulations
• Adheres to Company policies, HIPAA, and applicable laws
• Performs other duties as assigned
