Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland is seeking an RN Weekender Flex for the Neuro Pre/Post Expansion unit on the Main Campus. The role features weekend nights plus one day shift, within a new 15-floor, advanced facility designed for complex neurological care.

You will deliver direct nursing care, monitor patient conditions, implement and adjust care plans, coordinate discharges, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within hire or within one year of employment.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
