Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Preferred: specialized training in basic patient care or 6 months direct patient care experience.
• On-the-job training with competency verification; BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers, promote accurate unit communication.
• Answer phones, forward calls, and process information efficiently.
• Monitor patients and document vital signs and actions in the patient record.
• Assist with IV therapy initiation and wound care under licensed supervision.
• Performs basic clerical duties and supports patient nutrition care as directed.
• Coordinate and maintain equipment and supply systems on the unit.
• Operate EMR and assist with end-of-shift summaries.
