Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care on the Neuro PCU. The RN collaborates with providers, coordinates pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, and advocates for a superior patient experience.

Primary responsibilities include shift assessments, timely documentation, medication administration, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac care procedures and equipment for medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or approved multistate license required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days.
• Associates degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care for PCU patients.
• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, communicate changes.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
