Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, Arizona is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the 6th Floor PCU (Specialty Neurology) for the night shift. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, and document in the electronic medical record to support the care plan.

The position requires a CNA license, BLS, and strong organizational and communication skills. A sign-on bonus is offered for new Banner Health CNAs, with different amounts for part-time and full-time hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• 1 year medical clerical or hospital experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication and human relations skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
• ECG or EEG interpretation training or on‑the‑job training may be required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain Banner sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care and assist with activities of daily living to promote comfort.
• Collect data, vital signs, and document in the medical record; assist with specimen transport.
• Report abnormalities and changes to licensed staff; communicate status to care team.
• Assist with unit operations, supply management, and clerical tasks as needed.
• Support patient transportation and pre/post-operative movement when required.
