Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding its education program at Main Campus with a dedicated Nursing Professional Development Specialist role. The position focuses on nursing education for the Neuro service line, with around 20% unit rounding to support caregivers and direct clinical education.

The role is based at Main Campus with occasional travel to other Cleveland Clinic locations; hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, five days a week, with mileage reimbursement available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and RN licensure.
• Two years of recent nursing experience with clinical expertise, preceptor, BCLS or ACLS instructor.
• Knowledge of education methodology: needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to educate diverse caregiver audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, direct, implement, evaluate educational offerings for nursing staff.
• Identify learning needs of nursing personnel and develop targeted education.
• Develop evaluation systems to measure effectiveness of educational activities.
• Consult with Nursing Institute and Ambulatory Nursing on professional practice and roles.
• Assist in development of department orientations and competencies.
