Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge campus is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) unit. The role focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals in a fast‑paced acute care setting.

The position requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, Florida RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing and active in Florida
• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans
• Provides patient and family education on conditions, treatments, and discharge care
• Maintains infection control practices and uses medical equipment safely
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies
