Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System invites you to join the RN - Med/Surg team at the Pine Ridge campus as a PRN night shift nurse. You will deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and support families in a compassionate environment.

The role requires 0-2 years of acute care experience or student rotations, active RN license in Florida, BLS, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.
• RN licensure in good standing; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing process, patient safety, and evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care according to nursing policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings; communicates changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications; monitors for side effects and documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency and scope.
• Collaborates to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities as appropriate.
• Advocates for patient rights and provides education to patients and families.
• Maintains infection control protocols and ensures a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Documents patient care promptly in the medical record and participates in audits.
