Job summary

Lutheran Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuro Spine Med Surg unit on a part-time basis (.6 FTE, 24 hours/week). The role involves day shift from 7a-7p, with a welcome bonus eligible up to $12,500 and new pay rates for 2026.

The RN will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with the care team, monitor telemetry, and support stroke and neurological patients alongside general med-surg cases on a 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in state or compact license required.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers nurse-led, patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and skill level.
• Collaborates with team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies; participates in CPR and code team activities.
