Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an LPN to provide nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The role involves organizing patient care, prioritizing needs, and ensuring practice aligns with the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.

The position requires a current LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, and an LPN diploma. Experience may be limited for new grads, with a residency path offered. Unit-specific skills include BLS, ACLS, and PALS as required.

Qualifications

• Current State LPN License.
• High School Diploma or GED and LPN diploma and Licensure.
• New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the RN from multiple sources.
• Carry out plan of care and document reassessments, interventions and patient responses.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and participate in plan revisions with the healthcare team.
• Support quality of care by participating in quality improvement and adherence to medication administration parameters.
• Participate in educational activities and maintain competency records; complete continuing nursing education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide care and contribute to a healthy work environment.
