Job summary

Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Center City Philadelphia seeks a Neuro IR Technologist to operate interventional radiographic equipment under radiologist supervision and to perform angiographic and other procedures, ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process.

This full-time day-shift role includes on-call responsibilities, mentoring less experienced technologists, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of needles, catheters, sterile techniques and drugs used in each exam.
• Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and hospital policies.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate interventional radiographic equipment to image the body under a radiologist’s direction.
• Assist with vascular angiographic, drainage, biopsies and other procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient positioning, safety, and radiation protection during exams.
• Maintain and prepare radiology equipment and exam rooms; mentor junior staff.
