Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist to operate interventional radiographic equipment under radiologist supervision in a busy health system.

You will perform specialized interventional examinations, protect staff and patients from radiation, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and fellow technologists. This role requires high attention to safety, precise positioning, and the ability to adjust to on-call schedules, with

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience - preferred 2 years as an interventional radiographer in a hospital.
• Knowledge/Abilities - needles, catheters, sterile techniques and drugs; knowledge of procedures, equipment and policies.
• Licenses/Certifications - RT - Registered Technologist Radiology (ARRT).
• Additional Qualifications - may require travel between Jefferson sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs interventional procedures under physician supervision, including vascular angiography, drainage, biopsies, nephrostomies, catheter insertions and embolization.
• Maintains safe patient and equipment positioning during contrast flow.
• Tests contrast injectors and selectors for proper function and timing.
• Determines equipment needs for procedures and prepares scout films.
• Provides staff and patient protection according to radiation safety standards.
• Maintains radiographic and lab equipment and the exam room.
• Other duties as assigned by lead technologist or manager.
