Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois seeks a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Neuro Interventional Radiology team. You will provide a mix of ambulatory and inpatient care for NIR patients, including pre/post-procedure visits and ongoing outpatient management.

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with outpatient, inpatient rounding, and NIR lab duties; shared on-call rotation. Requires Master’s degree, acute care cert, IL RN/APRN licenses, and IL PA licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited program in nursing or physician assistant.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs.
• Active IL RN and APRN licenses with privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory and inpatient care for Neuro Interventional Radiology patients.
• Support pre- and post-procedure visits and outpatient management.
• Prescribe medications and interpret tests within clinical privileges.
• Collaborate with physicians and health-care team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Contribute to education for patients, families, and staff.
• Engage in quality improvement and/or research activities.
