Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is hiring a Registered Nurse – Care Team Leader in the Neurosciences unit. You will lead a fast-paced 25-bed neuro specialty unit, mentor staff, and participate in daily interprofessional rounds, ensuring high-quality care for postoperative spine, brain tumor, stroke, epilepsy and other neuro diagnoses.

Qualifications

BSN preferred.
Minimum inpatient unit experience of 2 years is required.
Leadership experience or development is considered in lieu of inpatient time.

Responsibilities

Motivate and lead nursing staff while collaborating with the interprofessional team.
Mentor colleagues to grow professionally and advance knowledge and skills.
Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds.
Care for neuro medical/surgical adult patients including post-surgical spine and stroke care.
Collaborate with stroke and epilepsy teams to provide complex care.
