Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to join the 24-bed SICU/MICU. You will provide direct nursing care, assess and plan care, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during nights, with a schedule including weekends and holidays.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license in Ohio, BLS, ACLS within one year, TCAR within 24 months, and ICU or acute care RN experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing and hold an active RN license in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS within one year of hire; TCAR within 24 months of hire.
• One year ICU or acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients in SICU/MICU.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a diverse patient population.
• Develop and update goals with patients and families; document progress and discharge plans.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and act as patient advocate; manage treatments and medications.
• Participate in ongoing care evaluation and quality improvement efforts.
