Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Surgical ICU in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time night-shift role supports a 22-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and opportunities for growth.

Required qualifications include nursing diploma/associate degree (BSN preferred), Texas RN license, BCLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS within specified timelines, and ICU/PCU/Telemetry/ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS - within 6 months of hire required.
• 1-year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• ICU/PCU, Telemetry and ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• assesses the patient

• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
