Job summary

Ascension is seeking a NICU Staffing RN to float across multiple Austin metro locations, providing high-quality direct patient care in diverse units on a rotating PRN schedule. The role demands strong clinical proficiency, coordination with healthcare teams, and precise documentation of patient conditions and interventions.

Minimum two years NICU experience, BLS/NRP certifications, and a nursing diploma or current licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Minimum of two years of NICU nursing experience.
• Proven ability to navigate and provide autonomous direct care in a float/resource team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse units.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and nursing orders.
• Coordinate patient journeys as central link among disciplines.
• Record and communicate patient conditions, observations and interventions clearly.
