Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care within our modern facilities. The role emphasizes the nursing process, safety, and collaborative care across teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

The incumbent will educate patients and families, document care, and participate in discharge planning while meeting credentialing and continuing education requirements. A BSN is preferred, with required certifications based on unit assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Experience: None. Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse – NJ or Registered Nurse – NLC multi-state
• ATCN or TNCC (or must obtain within 1 year of hire) AND 8 hours of Trauma-related CNE annually if assigned to ICU/CCU, Surgical Trauma Unit, PACU, ED.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or must obtain by end of orientation) AND 8 hours of Stroke-related CNE annually if assigned to Critical Care units.
• CPR Requirements: ACLS, NRP, PALS as applicable by unit.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong problem solving, high interpersonal skills, clear communication, and current nursing trends.
• Special Training: Nursing skills, hospital practices, standards.
• Usual Work Day: 12 Hours

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assures patient safety by executing appropriate policies and procedures.
• Provides support for pain management and comfort measures for patients and families.
• Uses handoff communication to ensure staff understands patient conditions and care plans.
• Plans and documents discharge to maximize patients’ ability to resume activities.
• Seeks input from case managers to coordinate care and resources.
• Participates in regulatory readiness, quality initiatives and patient education.
