Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the neuro care team. You will support registered nurses, assist with daily patient needs, monitor vital signs and help ensure a safe, compassionate environment for patients.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy and adherence to care plans as part of a busy hospital setting in Virginia. PRN opportunities may vary by location and shift coverage.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in Virginia or completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• Prior acute patient care experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies and equipment to support infection control and readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients and families to support safety and quality.
