Company Description

Adamo is a seed-stage, venture-backed (F4 Fund) startup building the teleoperation infrastructure for frontier robotics. Founded in 2025 by James Naylor and Sam Considine, Adamo is developing a sub-40ms glass-to-glass latency streaming engine that enables real-time human control of robots anywhere in the world, prioritizing zero lag over standard video metrics.

Job Description

As a Networking Engineer at Adamo, you will own the transport stack enabling sub-40ms robotic teleoperation. You will design and implement multi-path bonding, congestion control, and adaptive bitrate solutions to handle unreliable wireless links. This is a high-impact role at a seed-stage startup where your code directly determines product reliability in the field.

Location

San Francisco, USA

Why this role is remarkable
  • Work on a product where the networking layer isn't just infrastructure- it's the core engine enabling real-time robotics control globally.
  • Join an elite seed-stage team backed by F4 Fund and founded by industry leaders James Naylor and Sam Considine.
  • Solve the "shoddy connection" problem using multi-path bonding across LTE, 5G, and WiFi to achieve 99.5% uptime.
What You Will Do
  • Build and optimize the transport stack using protocols like QUIC, TCP/UDP, and custom congestion control algorithms for near-zero latency.
  • Develop multi-path bonding solutions to maintain robust performance over degraded wireless links that robots encounter in the field.
  • Own end-to-end networking decisions at a startup where your work directly controls the success of robotic missions.
The ideal candidate
  • 3-6 years of experience with deep networking fundamentals, specifically transport protocol optimization, congestion control, and adaptive bitrate.
  • Proven expertise in managing unreliable wireless links and experience with multi-path networking in cellular or WiFi environments.
  • Background at high-performance edge or CDN networks such as Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai is highly valued.
