Job summary

Conroe Independent School District is seeking an on-site customer support technician to install and maintain computers, peripherals, network equipment, and software across the district. You will work closely with CISD users to resolve tickets and ensure reliable classroom technology.

The role requires at least 2 years of networking experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and an A+ certification. You will install cabling, configure software, assist the network team, diagnose issues, and

Qualifications

2 years networking experience.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
A+ certification or equivalent hardware/software experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Understanding of network switch configuration and setup.
Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to CISD users.
Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
Install and upgrade computers, printers, scanners and other peripherals throughout the district.
Install network cabling and network peripherals throughout the district.
Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
Install and configure software as needed.
Assist the network team with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
Diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate work ticket documentation and close tickets in a timely manner.
Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
Follow safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, carrying, etc.
Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
Respond to after-hours situations as needed.
Maintain confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.
