Job summary

Comporium Communications in Gilbert, SC is seeking a Network Technician II to perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of power, access, transport and core network equipment, ensuring reliable delivery of telephone, data and cable TV services at Central Office, headend and remote sites.

The role supports Network Technician I and other teams, conducts circuit installations, testing and documentation, and helps maintain inventory, DC power equipment, rectifiers, UPS and battery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred.
• 2 years experience with technologies used in Network Services.
• Must be computer literate and able to diagnose and correct problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of core, transport, access and headend equipment.
• Troubleshooting and network problem determination; monitoring and testing network performance.
• Equipment installation at Central Office, headend and remote sites.
• Circuit installation, documentation, testing and maintenance; inventory and records management.
