Job summary

Comporium Communications in Gilbert, SC is seeking a Network Technician I to perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of power, access, transport and core equipment to ensure reliable telecom services at Central Office, headend and remote sites.

You will assist more senior technicians, monitor network performance, document procedures and support other workgroups with escalations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of core, transport, access and headend equipment.
• Troubleshooting and network problem determination.
• Monitoring and testing network performance.
• Equipment installation at Central Office, headend and remote sites.
• Circuit installation, documentation, testing and maintenance.
• Maintains Central Office and headend inventory and records.
• Installs and maintains DC power equipment, including rectifiers, UPS and battery backup systems in Central Office, headend and remote sites.
• Provides guidance to Network Technician I.
• Assists other workgroups with escalations.
