We're seeking a highly motivated IT Technician to provide comprehensive technical support services across our San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills locations. This position will be based in North Hills, CA, working from 9 am to 6 pm, with an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies.
Some of What You'll Do
- Provide end-user technical support via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for workstations, printers, phones, scanners, network connectivity, and software applications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Configure new hire systems and perform IT onboarding for new employees.
- Assist with user access, creation, editing, and troubleshooting in Active Directory, Google Workspace, and various software applications.
- Assist in server/networking room with patch cabling, infrastructure maintenance, and management.
- Monitor systems proactively for performance and security.
- Deploy new equipment and handle upgrade requests efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and vendors.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to improving IT processes.
- Provide basic training to end-users on hardware and software use.
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Support A/V equipment in conference rooms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a technical support role or similar.
- Strong understanding of IT principles, networking, OS, and security.
- Effective communication, patience, tenacity, and follow-through.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
- Ability to travel to different sites and participate in rotating on-call support.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Active Directory, and Entra ID.
- Proficiency in OS X, Windows 10/11.
- Experience configuring firewalls and switches.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, compliance, and IT best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Experience with VoIP troubleshooting.
