Job summary

North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Network Technician to maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals across the hospital's network and server environments.

You will configure network devices, monitor performance, support user accounts and access controls, provide on-call support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while upholding security policies.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA or MCDST preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience with PC and hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Supports and manages user accounts, including rights, security, and system groups.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves issues related to virtual desktops, as well as network and server environments.
• Configures and maintains network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitors network performance, troubleshoots issues, and ensures proper function.
