Job summary

Harris County is seeking an ITS Network/Systems Administrator to support the metropolitan Ethernet network for Traffic Control Signal operations and related services.

The role involves configuring network gear, maintaining security and configurations, and documenting networks. Candidates should have 3+ years in network operations, CCNA training, and strong troubleshooting skills. Full-time on-site role with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CCNA training or certification is preferred.
• Three (3) years in network operations is preferred; experience with cellular/LTE systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and support internal and external network equipment.
• Develop and maintain network configurations, security, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate field technicians and projects with various teams.
• Attend meetings and communicate with Harris County staff and external partners.
