Job summary

Piedmont Community College in Roxboro, NC seeks a Network & Systems Administrator to manage and secure the IT infrastructure, deploy solutions, and provide advanced technical support across physical and virtual environments.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, maintaining backups, administering Active Directory, VMware, SharePoint and Office 365, configuring security, and guiding staff on system usage. Evening/weekend on-call and on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in the Information Technology field
• Or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
• Monitoring system performance, availability and troubleshooting issues
• Performing Active Directory, VMware, SharePoint and Office 365 Administration tasks
• Installing and configuring software and hardware on physical and virtual systems
• Available to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends
• The ability to work on-site
