Saalex is seeking a Senior Network & Systems Administrator in Ridgecrest, CA to design, implement, secure, and sustain enterprise network and computing environments. • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, network security, and enterprise infrastructure sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise network and computer systems.
• Support WAN, BAN, LAN, and wireless (Wi-Fi) infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies.
• Lead network modernization, upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure sustainment activities.
• Implement network security controls, system hardening, STIG compliance, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and configuration baselines.
• Support cybersecurity audits, compliance requirements, and Government-directed security controls.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and customer stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

The selected candidate will serve as a technical lead for network infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, systems administration, and modernization initiatives supporting mission-critical operations.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $105k-$120k annually (depending on experience)

Work Location: Onsite. Ridgecrest, CA.

Essential Functions

• Design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot enterprise network and computer systems.
• Support WAN, BAN, LAN, and wireless (Wi-Fi) infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies.

• Experience supporting Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar enterprise networking technologies.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization or network engineering projects.

Education / Years of Experience

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and 5 years of related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 9 years of related experience required.

Security Clearance

Active Top Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
