Evaluates hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions from vendors, and creates RFPs when needed

Monitors the installation, operation, maintenance, and performance of all network and communications technologies, ensuring reliab

Creates, updates, and tests disaster recovery plans and business continuity procedures in collaboration with IT Leadership; ensuring tests

Works with IT Administration and the Threat & Vulnerability Manager to update, maintain,an
d implement the Cit’s Security Policy.
Collaborates with the IT Leadership Team to develop, maintain, and enhance t

e department’s busiess continuity plan.
Coordinates with external contractors and professional service
providers to accomplish departmental goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology as a Network Manager, Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role, including
at
least 2 years in leaderhip or project management.
Strong hands-on technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, including Windows Server, SQL Server,
Exchange Server, Active Diectory, DHCP, DNS, and RDP.
Strong understanding of core network technologies (LAN/WAN, subnets, firewalls
,
APNs/VPNs, SSL, HTTP, FTP,routers/switches, wireless).
Working knowledge of additional IT infrastructure technologies such as SAN, virtualization, and VoIP; familiarity
with end‑user computing envionments and management tools.
