Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Network Support Technician to join our team at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. This is an on-site position responsible for high-level analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of complex network systems to ensure mission-critical stability.

You will work with government and contractor personnel on fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, and wireless networks, install and patch panels, and support 25% travel including outside the U.S. Clearances required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with 1+ years in data center or network support.
• 1+ years experience in data center management, infrastructure management, or network support.
• Experience terminating, repairing, and testing multimode and single-mode fiber optics.
• Experience testing and repairing CAT5E and CAT6 copper.
• Experience installing OSP and ISP fiber in building telecom closets.
• Experience with the administration of switches, servers, distros, and media converters.
• Familiarity with building codes for copper and fiber installation in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate network systems to ensure stability.
• Maintain and troubleshoot fiber and copper network infrastructure.
• Perform Wi-Fi and RFID signal testing and coverage surveys.
• Configure wireless access points, RFID readers, switches, servers, and distribution systems.
• Collaborate with government and contractor personnel on infrastructure projects.
• Travel up to 25% and support non-standard hours.
