Job summary

MANTECH in Chantilly, VA seeks a motivated Installation Technician to join our team. You will support the deployment and installation of secure network infrastructure and endpoint equipment in a mission-driven environment.

You will ensure accurate configurations, reliable connectivity, and successful execution of technical projects across classified workspaces. Responsibilities include installing network drops, wiring, testing, and documenting work from design packages.

Qualifications

• Must have experience installing and testing network drops with proper labeling and terminations.
• Knowledge of structured cabling methodologies and common troubleshoot practices.
• Hands-on experience deploying IT endpoints and network switches.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate CAT5/CAT6 and fiber cabling, racks, patch panels, and wall jacks.
• Perform cable pulls, terminations, testing, documentation, and proper cable management.
• Install and configure workstations, rebuild desktops, relocate IT equipment, and deploy network drops.
• Interpret design packages, wiring schematics, port maps, and network diagrams to guide installation.
• Troubleshoot workstation connectivity and equipment failures.
• Travel locally between customer sites and support temporary assignments as needed.
• Work scheduled shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM as part of a team
