Job summary

Information Management Group (IMG) seeks a Network Cable Technician with Top Secret clearance to support the Washington Navy Yard. You will install, maintain, and document network infrastructure, including copper and fiber, cabling, tests, and configurations.

The role requires 5+ years of cabling experience, proficiency with Fluke testers, and adherence to ANSI/TIA/EIA standards. Active clearance and ability to work at US government facilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cabling or network technician experience
• Ability to install/terminate and test Category 3, 5e, 6, 6a UTP cables and fiber
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B/569/606/607 and NFPA 70
• Proficient with Fluke test equipment
• Active: Secret or higher security clearance

Responsibilities

• Install equipment enclosures, patch panels, and network components
• Terminate copper and fiber cabling with appropriate connectors
• Install cable trays, racks, and backbone cabling
• Document test results and network configurations
• Complete work orders and tickets and maintain cable documentation
