Job summary

PenTeleData is seeking a Network Support Specialist to monitor and resolve core network issues in the Network Control Center. The role includes interfacing with customers, engineers, and vendors to ensure service continuity.

The ideal candidate has CCNA credentials or equivalent experience, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Training will be conducted in-person; occasional on-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2+ years in electronics/telecom/networking.
• Proficient in TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.
• CCNA certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to core and customer network outages, owning issues to resolution.
• Coordinate with partners, vendors, and field personnel to troubleshoot service interruptions.
• Investigate, mitigate, and block potential network attacks.
• Interface with customers to troubleshoot problems and manage escalations.
• Support managed customer networks and document issue resolution steps.
• Communicate network health to customers and staff; escalate when needed.
• Work with engineering to resolve complex issues and review service escalations.
• Process subpoenas for law enforcement as required.
