The role focuses on hands-on network configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization within a Cisco-centric environment, offering exposure to enterprise-grade networking technologies and cross-functional collaboration on critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of enterprise network experience.
• 3+ years using monitoring tools for enterprise networks.
• Experience with LAN switching and Cisco-based environments.
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Perl, Terraform, etc.).
• CCNA certification or higher required.
• Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, implement, and document network solutions in complex environments.
• Support deployment of LAN infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across plant environments.
• Monitor network systems and proactively troubleshoot performance issues.
• Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.
• Manage Cisco WAN/LAN/WLAN infrastructure (routers, firewalls, wireless).
• Track and validate hardware deployment and upgrades across sites.
• Act as escalation point for network issues and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with business teams to design solutions aligned with operations.

Insight Global is seeking a Network Support Engineer for a Fortune 100 Automotive client to support large-scale plant operations across North America. This individual will play a critical role in deploying and maintaining LAN infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions designed to deliver reliable, high-performance networking environments. The Network Technician will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to implement scalable solutions that support evolving operational needs. This role involves hands‑on network configuration, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization within a Cisco‑centric environment. It offers strong exposure to enterprise‑grade networking technologies and the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact infrastructure projects. Other day to day responsibilities include:

Plan, configure, implement, and document network solutions in complex environments

Support deployment of LAN infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across plant environments

Monitor network systems and proactively troubleshoot performance issues

Optimize network performance and ensure high availability/reliability

Support and maintain Cisco WAN/LAN/WLAN infrastructure (routers, firewalls, wireless)

Track and validate hardware deployment and upgrades across sites

Act as escalation point for network issues (both standard and complex)

Identify root cause of issues and document resolution processes

Collaborate with business teams to design solutions aligned with operational need

• 2-5 years supporting enterprise network environments
• 3+ years working with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix, PagerDuty, Site24x7, Nagios)
• LAN switching technology (ACI, VXLAN, Fabric Path, Spaning tree, etc.)
• Experience supporting Cisco-based environments (routers, firewalls, wireless, security, WAN/LAN/WLAN) - Fortune 500 industry experience
• Experience with scripting or automation (python, perl, terraform, etc.)
• CCNA
• CompTIA Security- Cybersecurity certified
