Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Network SME to support major modernization and security initiatives in Los Angeles. You will work with the Network & Voice Operations team to implement enhancements, and serve as the primary on-site technical consultant.

The role demands expert Cisco networking skills, CCNA/CCNP certification, and hands-on experience in enterprise environments. This is a fully on-site contract based in Los Angeles, CA, with pay ranging from $100–$130 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active CCNA or CCNP certification required.
• Experience with Cisco Enterprise Networking and Switching/ Routing.
• Hands-on experience with NGFW and network security architecture.
• Experience conducting network assessments and site surveys.
• Ability to operate independently as a consultant on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design network architecture for modernization and security initiatives.

Los Angeles client is seeking a Network SME to support major modernization and network security initiatives across its infrastructure environment. The consultant will work alongside the Network & Voice Operations team to implement critical network enhancements, infrastructure modernization projects, operational improvements, and security initiatives. Responsibilities include network architecture design, network assessments, site surveys, MPLS network support, Cisco infrastructure upgrades, firewall administration, vulnerability remediation, monitoring platform optimization, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational support. The ideal candidate possesses strong Cisco networking expertise, CCNA/CCNP certification, hands‑on experience with enterprise network environments, and the ability to operate independently as the primary technical consultant on-site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $130.00/hr.
