Job summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Engineer supporting the AFLCMC/HNI at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. You will plan, design, test, install, and maintain networked systems for voice, data, and video, and support the full lifecycle with focus on performance and cybersecurity.

The role requires US citizenship and an Active Secret clearance. A Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related DoD experience (or 15 years with DoD-specific certifications) is required; Master’s

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience (3 within DoD) OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (5 within DoD).
• Preferred: Master's degree in a related field; Certifications: CCNP, Security+, Network+, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and recommend network requirements based on mission needs.
• Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
• Monitor network capacity, workload, and performance; provide optimization recommendations.
• Diagnose and resolve network problems in a timely manner.
• Recommend and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems and related software.
• Ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices.
• Support integration of enterprise-level networked systems.
• Provide technical expertise during planning and design reviews.
• Contribute to quality assurance and configuration of network systems.
