Job summary

Center for Internet Security (CIS) is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join the Security Operations Team. The role involves triaging network security monitoring issues, supporting customers, and coordinating with vendors to resolve incidents.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in security or network administration, strong TCP/IP and Linux/Windows skills, and a customer-focused mindset. This full‑time position is based in the United States and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years’ experience in security or network administration.
• Knowledge of security methodologies, processes, and security solutions (firewalls and IDS).
• Strong TCP/IP, network analysis, and security tool experience.
• Proficient Linux and Windows command line; able to troubleshoot across Windows, Mac, Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Triage issues related to network security device monitoring.
• Provide timely responses to lower-tier support issues and escalate when needed.
• Troubleshoot CIS monitoring services, cloud-based apps, and cybersecurity products in customer environments.
• Coordinate with a vendor and customers to troubleshoot problems and outages.
• Assist with configuration, inventory tracking, and shipping of Albert hardware sensors.
• Seamlessly hand off items to SOC Analysts and other teams for off-hours support.
• Be on-call to respond to critical incidents and deliver strong customer support.
