Rackspace Technology is seeking an L2 Network & Security Engineer to manage day-to-day operations, incidents, and service tasks via ServiceNow, delivering 24x7 support for core enterprise infrastructure and connectivity.

The role requires administering Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler, Juniper Mist Wi‑Fi, Infoblox DDI, and routing protocols, with strong incident response and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience resolving L2 incidents and handling ITIL-based changes.
• Familiarity with enterprise firewall policies and cloud proxies.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Resolve L2 incidents, execute change requests, and manage service tasks via ServiceNow.
• Administer Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT, and VPNs; troubleshoot Zscaler.
• Troubleshoot BGP/OSPF/VLANs and manage Juniper Mist Wi‑Fi.
• Manage DNS/DHCP/IPAM with Infoblox; escalate complex cases to L3.
• Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.
• Own incidents through to resolution with clear customer communication.
• Analyze security and network events and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with firewall rule changes, policy optimizations, and upgrades.
