Job summary

The United Illuminating Company is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist in Orange, CT to maintain and support OSG network infrastructure, policies, standards, and projects. Requires a BS/BA and at least five years of enterprise infrastructure experience with security focus.

Responsibilities include incident response, design and support of technical solutions, and 24x7 on-call readiness to protect critical SCADA systems. Office-based with 5-day schedule.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Business, Computer Science, or other technical discipline.
• 5+ years experience with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with networking, security, and data center operations; UNIX/Linux/Windows/VMware/Citrix knowledge may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely responses to incidents, tasks, and requests to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers/contractors, and project teams to design and support solutions.
• Plan and implement changes to the environment for improvements or projects.
• Maintain network equipment and security controls for critical SCADA systems.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support which may include visits to substations.
