Anthropic is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Network Security Engineering team. You will define the team’s charter and priorities, partnering with infrastructure networking and data centers to build secure-by-default networking across environments.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of frontline management experience, deep cloud and on‑prem security expertise, and a track record of guiding threat modeling, risk assessments, and large-scale Kubernetes networking initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of frontline management experience.
• Experience leading infrastructure or security engineering teams.
• Hands-on network security engineering in cloud and/or on-prem environments.
• Proven ability to drive threat modeling and risk assessments for networked systems.
• Experience securing Kubernetes networking at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the network security roadmap from design to implementation across cloud interconnects and data centers.
• Lead a network security engineering team, setting charter, practices, and priorities.
• Partner with infrastructure networking, cluster, and data center teams to bake security into designs.
• Build and monitor secure-by-default primitives for multiple environments.
• Provide visibility into traffic, boundary drift, and automated remediation where safe.
• Present evidence of security invariants to leadership and compliance teams.
• Hire, grow, and mentor senior engineers and shape team processes.
