Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Network Security Engineering team. You will set the team’s charter, practices, and priorities, partnering with infrastructure networking, cluster, and data center teams so security is built into designs from day one.

You will own the network security roadmap, drive secure-by-default primitives, and ensure visibility into traffic and boundary drift while mentoring senior engineers as the team scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontline management experience.
• Experience leading infrastructure or security engineering teams.
• Proven track record growing engineers into staff or lead roles.
• Hands-on network security in cloud and/or on‑prem environments.
• Experience with security/risk assessment and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own the network security roadmap from the management plane through Kubernetes and cloud interconnects.
• Enforce secure-by-default ingress/egress and segmentation across environments.
• Build visibility into traffic and boundary drift; drive automated remediation where safe.
• Collaborate with infrastructure networking, cluster, and data center teams.
• Hire, grow, and retain senior security software engineers; oversee career development.
