Job summary

The State of Louisiana seeks an IT Network Administrator to manage and secure the agency's enterprise network infrastructure in Baton Rouge. You will own critical network services, configure core routers and switches, and deploy SD-WAN across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates bring extensive IT experience, strong problem solving, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences while ensuring high availability of services.

Qualifications

• Six years of information technology experience or equivalent combinations as listed.
• Substitution rules allow 30 semester hours per year of IT experience, up to 120 sem hrs.
• Professional certifications may substitute for education/experience at hire or promotion.
• Official job specs are provided by State Civil Service.

Responsibilities

• Manage, optimize, and secure the enterprise network infrastructure for high availability.
• Provision, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and peripherals.
• Administer core routing protocols and switching environments for traffic stability.
• Deploy SD-WAN technologies across agency sites and optimize performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot enterprise VoIP and digital communications.
